F*ck It. I'm gonna be a romance author.

Hello lovers.

Have you ever had a desire to do something that probably seems crazy to most of the people in your life? A secret something that even in your wildest dreams doesn’t seem quite possible? Well, here I am, putting myself WAY out there and telling the world that I, Babette Scott, have wanted to write romance novels for as long as I can remember.

Before now I’ve told no one that. Not my family, not my friends. No one. My husband doesn’t even know, and I tell him everything. (Don’t worry; I plan on spilling the beans at the end of November once my draft is complete 😉.)

So here I go. I’ve gotten the courage to say fuck it, I’m doing this! While working on my debut novel, I plan to share my writing journey here on my website and across my social channels.

My hope is it will be a great way to document my adventure. I’m one hundred percent certain there will be self-imposed angst and nuclear melt-downs. But I’m also hoping I’ll get to share the highs and the thrills that come with success. Regardless, it’s a great way to document this crazy journey, and it will be super cool to look back at where it all began.

I’m also a big believer in putting what you want out into the universe. I mean, it can only build momentum, right? Plus, I can’t say I’m launching a book (or a book series, for that matter) and then never deliver, right? 😬 No way! The fear of stranger judgment and internet scorn is real.

I hope this is a way I can connect with other fans of romance and “fingers crossed” to meet some of you lovely readers and other authors along the way.
